Job Description

Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) invites applications for an Associate Professor position in Finance within the College of Business Administration (COBA).

About the College:
COBA has experienced remarkable growth since its inception in 2006 and is now a premier business school offering five undergraduate majors and two graduate programs. The College has earned AACSB accreditation and seeks to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 master plan.

Teaching Areas:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Doctorate degree in Finance or closely related field from an accredited Western residential university
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience post-graduation in Finance with knowledge of Islamic Finance, stock market simulation, and finance analytics including advanced Excel
• Minimum 3 years demonstrated teaching excellence in English-medium programs
• Active research record evidenced by publications in refereed journals and conferences
• Experience using management applications/tools (Stock trading simulation) and innovative teaching methods (flipped classroom)
• Professional certifications preferred
• PhD holders from AACSB-accredited universities preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Strong willingness to engage in service to university and community
• Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Experience with AACSB accreditation (highly beneficial)
• Familiarity with technology-infused academic environments
• Previous experience in Middle East and GCC countries (added bonus)

Required Documentation for Associate Professor:

• Letter of promotion from an academic institution with documented due process to Associate Professor rank

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Maintain appropriate scholarly or professional development activity
• Participate in comprehensive advisement of students
• Contribute to overall work of College and external organizations
• Effectively contribute to management and administrative processes
• Participate in, manage, or lead major initiatives for accreditation
• Participate in recruitment, management, development, and mentoring of colleagues
