Job Description

Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Management Information Systems/Business Analytics within the College of Business Administration (COBA).

About the College:
COBA has experienced remarkable growth since its inception in 2006 and is now a premier business school offering five undergraduate majors and two graduate programs. The College has earned AACSB accreditation and seeks to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 master plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Contribute to school and faculty policy and practice in teaching
• Play significant role in design, development, and planning of courses and programs
• Play significant role in course review, assessment, quality assurance, and quality enhancement
• Develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching
• Provide timely feedback and assessment of coursework and examinations
• Provide general support and guidance to students

Research & Service:

• Maintain appropriate scholarly or professional development activity
• Participate in comprehensive advisement of students
• Serve on appropriate committees and groups
• Participate in recruitment, management, development, and mentoring of colleagues

Preferred Research & Teaching Areas:

• Business Analytics
• Programming languages (Python, C#, Java)
• Database Management & Design
• Information Assurance
• E-Commerce Design and Security
• System Analysis and Design
• Power BI, Tableau, Machine Learning, Advanced Excel

Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in Management Information Systems or closely related field from an accredited Western residential university
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience post-graduation in Analytics, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Machine Learning, and Advanced Excel
• Minimum 3 years demonstrated teaching excellence in English-medium programs
• Active research record evidenced by publications in refereed journals and conferences
• Experience using management applications/tools, simulation techniques, and innovative teaching methods (flipped classroom)
• Ability to deliver “microcredentials” in analytics
• Familiarity with technology-infused academic environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AACSB accreditation
• Previous experience in Middle East and GCC countries
• Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Willingness to engage in service to university and community
• Ability to participate in department, college, and university initiatives
