I am a renowned academic with over 13 years experience in the higher education sector in the UK. As a Full Professor of Accounting and Associate Dean of Research and Impact at the Essex Business School of the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, I have significant senior leadership experience of delivering excellent education and research in the higher education sector.

I am a fully qualified (Chartered) Accountant who has undergone the rigorous professional training of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana). I also hold a BSc. degree in Business Administration (Accounting option and with a first-class honors) from the University of Ghana; an MSc. degree in Banking & Finance (with distinction) and a PhD degree in Accountancy and Finance from Loughborough University, UK (with ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA).

I believe that my extensive leadership experience in higher education as well as my training in accounting and finance have equipped me with the sound knowledge and expertise needed to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of excellent teaching, research, and leadership in your department and the wider Business School, Faculty, College and beyond.
