The research area focused on the theoretical, computational, and experimental dynamics of materials and complex engineering structures, particularly on periodic materials at both the continuum and atomistic scales. Thesis title: ”A study on direct time integration methods for vibration analysis of viscoelastically damped systems”.

I completed my MS as a foreign scholar under the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. My research focused on vibration control challenges in damped structural systems, with emphasis on modeling, damping mechanisms, control strategies, design, and the application of viscoelastic damping technologies. My thesis, titled “Symmetric state-space method for viscoelastically damped structural systems: modeling, order reduction, and finite element implementation,” addressed advanced numerical formulations and efficient computational frameworks for analyzing viscoelastically damped structures.

The research area focused on the mechanics of smart materials and structural dynamics, damage effects in effective configuration, and multi-scale control of structures. Specifically, the attention was on studying the nonlinear dynamic behavior of viscoelastically damped composite structures, functional graded plates, and developing finite-strain viscoelastic damage models, employing continuum damage mechanics and numerical approaches. Additionally, research focuses on applications of deep learning algorithms for vibration and noise control using composite materials. Furthermore, multi-axis vibration testing of complex structures is being conducted via advanced shaking tables to simulate real-world dynamic conditions and improve structural performance.
