The College of Information Technology (CIT) at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in the Department of Computer and Network Engineering. Position Overview:
The Department seeks exceptional candidates with expertise in Computer Engineering who can integrate engineering disciplines with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to drive the next generation of computing and communication technologies.

Research Focus Areas:

• AI-driven computing and communication systems
• Intelligent hardware design and architecture
• Autonomous systems and embedded intelligence
• Hardware-software co-design with AI integration
• Next-generation communication technologies

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in computer engineering
• Establish and lead a competitive research program in Communication and Hardware
• Integrate AI/ML approaches into computing and communication systems
• Publish impactful research in leading journals and conferences
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations across departments
• Contribute to college advancement through leadership and service
• Supervise student research projects and theses

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or closely related discipline
• Expertise in Computer Engineering with emphasis on AI/ML integration
• Demonstrated ability to publish in leading journals and conferences
• Potential to establish externally funded research program
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship
• Ability to foster interdisciplinary collaborations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established record of research publications in Q1 Computer Engineering journals
• Publication record in top-tier conferences
• Experience with AI-driven systems and intelligent hardware design
• Research focus on autonomous systems or next-generation communications
• Grant writing and research funding success
