Have 12+ years of biomedical research experience including in vitro, preclinical and clinical research spanning the areas of Neuroscience, metabolic diseases and oncology
• My research had previously led to the development of a new animal model of type 2 diabetes and the
discovery of a potential disease biomarker of multiple sclerosis
• Skilled in project design, project management, critical thinking, data analysis, problem-solving and teamwork
• I have developed strong scientific and medical writing ability and authored 25 peer-reviewed publications including journal articles and conference abstracts
• Have experience presenting research outputs at 11 national and international scientific conferences and thus developed effective oral communication and networking skills
• Have previously demonstrated the ability to adhere to policy, protocols, and guidelines and have a working knowledge of clinical research, clinical trials, human and animal research ethics and research integrity
• Can work independently as well as within a team, attention to detail, open to learning new skills, can liaise with multiple stakeholders and can adapt to changing priorities
