This is a 4-year clinical training program. I was eligible to join the Clinical MD Medicine residency program as a Medical Registrar after doing the Preparatory Courses, Clinical Rotation in the ER and Primary Care Centers, and passing the Part I and MRCP Part I Exams. As a Medical Registrar in clinical rotation I was trained in the departments of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Infectious diseases, Nephrology, Endocrinology and Neurology. By the end of the training period, I passed the Part 2 Final written and Clinical Exams. In partial fulfillment of the degree of MD in Medicine, submitted a thesis titled: The clinical picture, parasite diversity and nonspecific immune response in adult Sudanese patients with cerebral Malaria.

This is a 2-year modular course that develops the approach to evidence-based management of patients admitted to the critical care area. The course modules focus on: • Evidence-based approach toward the management of patients with cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurologic, edocrinal and infectious diseases, as well as those with multi-organ failure admitted critically ill to the ICU / CCU. • Extracorporeal systems, critical care organ support and monitoring of the critically ill. • Medical ethics, professional practice, organ donation and the concept of withdrawal of care. • Quality and safety in Critical Care Unit. • Research governance and evidence based practice. In partial fulfillment of the award of the degree of MSc in Critical Care, submitted a dissertation titled: A critical appraisal of contemporary evidence regarding the use of intravenous sodium bicarbonate for the prevention of contrast-induced acute kidney injury following coronary angiography or intervention.

This is a 12-months modular course that intensively focuses in general nephrology, renal pathology, renal radiology, dialysis replacement therapy and kidney transplantation. In addition to the academic activities, candidates had to rotate through all the renal activities in the Northern General Hospital - NH Foundation Trust. That included attending the daily in-patient and out-patient renal unit activities, participate in the weekly renal histopathology and radiology meetings, and attend the various interventional and surgical procedures practiced in clinical nephrology, dialysis and transplantation. In partial fulfillment of the award of the degree of MMedSci in Nephrology, submitted a dissertation titled: Immunosuppressive therapeutic options used in the treatment of adult relapsing minimal change nephritic syndrome : A critical appraisal.
