Responsible for: - Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems. - Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries. - Tracking the progress of shipments. - Knowing all aspects of warehouse operations. - Reviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stock. - Develops a purchasing strategy. - Reviews and processes purchase orders. - Manages other members of the purchasing team. - Maintains records of goods ordered and received. - Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers. - Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
